I can’t believe this woman that I went to high school with, hung out with in college, went to a movie with me once in a while after college, has been married to me for 12 years, given birth to two wonderful sons, and made me one of the happiest people on earth.
Martinah, I love you more!
A few weeks ago, we took the boys to Maymont park to play with my new lens. Unfortunately it was drizzling and I didn’t want to risk taking out my camera so we used the point-n-click instead. Of course the sun came out when we were at the farthest point from the car.
We love you!

For our anniversary this year, we decided to go out of town. Since I coach Billy’s soccer team, one night was all we could spare. After some searching, I ended up choosing a place called Smithfield Station. The place was beautiful. It’s a brand new facility with faux fireplaces in the rooms and balconies that overlook the Pagan river and the marina. We ate dinner out on the pier and I had the best omelette from the omelette bar which was part of the breakfast buffet. After breakfast, we walked around the shops downtown and had a nice chat with a woman who ran the Genuine Smithfield Ham Shoppe. The only problem we ran into was that the hood from my camera was knocked off and fell into the river and sunk out of sight for ever.
I’ve been really bad these last nine months about posting stuff (which I hope to remedy soon) but I wanted to take the opportunity to wish her Happy Birthday from me and the boys!!
Here are the portraits we had taken of us a few weeks ago.
FYI, I’ve contacted Lifetouch in the past about posting these and they said there wasn’t a problem since they aren’t the fullsize images.
